You guys are on the right course, but have quite some way to go. Look to Denmark, home of modern windmills (according to Jean-Michel Jarre!) for the several-megawatt turbines necessary to make wind a force to be reckogned with in the energy policy... :-)

Indiana is not the best place for Wind Turbines.Richmond has class 1-2 winds about 0 to 14 MPH at 50 meters.This is not enough for wind power to be viable.Its all about location.Class 4 wind and higher is really what you need.Also turbines have many moving parts and do breakdown.I ran solar and wind for 4 years.Turbine broke a blade and was hit by lightning twice.Never had a problem with the solar.

Do a search for Indiana Wind Farm and I think you'll find Indiana is doing a lot of very large wind farms. Believe me there are parts of the state that are very viable for wind power.
