Here is Bee Gees contribution to the Unicef 1979 'Year of the child'.
The song - of course - is their number one hit 'Too Much Heaven', which together with ABBA's 'Chiquitita' is the most lucrative song from that show. They are 'lip-singing' the song - just like almost everybody else did back in the 70's and early 80's. It was the most common way to perform a song
on TV back then - especially because the TV sound in the 70's and early 80's were terrible sounding and no artists wanted to sound bad on TV.

They had 11 albums out before this with no falsetto, and with no bias I can tell you they are the most amazing vocalists you'll ever hear, have a listen to I Started A Joke.;) Anyway, most bands have used falsetto at some point, the Barry and Robin Gibb nailed it better than anyone.

A vocal blend between Maurice and Robin wouldn't sound like that, Maurice does the deep on the record. This is a presentation of the record for charity, they didn't want to get it wrong so they performed this cann version. It was dubbed...the studio version had something like 24 vocal tracks so there was no way they could re-create that onstage. They may be singing live vocals that are tucked into the backing track.

It didn't have that many vocal tracks I don't reckon, Robin and Barry are doing the falsetto while Maurice does the low, there might be another falsetto track but probably not 24. :)
Although they did do around 24 takes.
